Class Dojo

Our class reward system is Class Dojos. Children can earn them for having a positive attitude towards their work, effort, a high standard of work, teamwork, caring for others, challenging themselves and many more. Children will be rewarded with prizes each time they hit 50 dojos. However, class dojos can also be lost for unacceptable behaviour, lack of  homework etc.

***Handwriting Challenge***

Each half term, children will take part in a handwriting challenge to improve their cursive writing ensuring that all letters are formed correctly and are the appropriate size. This will require lots of practise in school and at home. Children will be rewarded with 10 dojos when they pass each challenge and 25 dojos if they pass all challenges.

Homework

Homework will be sent home every Friday and must be returned to school on the following Wednesday. There will be a variety of tasks such as spellings, literacy, maths, reading, R.E. tasks and learning logs.

Learning logs are a chance for children to be creative and show off their learning each week and should aim to reflect on a different subject each time. Learning logs will be shared with other peers and the most creative will be rewarded with dojos.

Homework is the children’s responsibility and failure to return homework will result in loss of playtime or golden time to complete it. If children find the homework difficult they must let us know by Monday and we will offer support in a lunchtime club.

Attendance

We aim for 100% attendance in every class. We want our children in school each day so that they have every opportunity to learn and develop in order to reach their full potential. Dojos are given each week for 100% attendance. Come on Class 7…we can do it!!
